• Economic Enhancement through Strengthening Beef and Goat Market System-EES-II Project

Duration: March 01, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

Objectives:

  1. The project will focus on goat production and beef fattening and developing a market system so they can grow cyclically within short time and in turn generate faster return for the participants.
  2.  An estimated 70% of the families would be brought under beef value chain
  3. The rest 30% for goat value chain with physical input support in form of loans from partner organization.
  4. 100% participants will receive poultry to ensure the nutrition of the family

Major activities: Organization & Capacity Building Support, Physical input support for livelihood development and income generation, Livestock Related Services, Creation of producers’ organization, Other Support Activities, Sanitation support, Urea Molasses and Mineral Block, Hydroponic Fodder Cultivation, Ensuring 24 hours supply of water for Livestock, Organic Farming Practice

Implementation process: The targeted beneficiaries are selected through baseline survey, PRA and WBA. Then capacities developed to the beef and goat fattening value chain entrepreneurs and small livestock (goat) and input supports provided to them with a provision of pass on gifts.

Matching of SDG:  SDG-1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere and SDG-2: End hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
