Food security for households most affected by the COVID-19 crisis in at-risk low-income urban areas

Duration: March 15, 2023, to November 30, 2023

Objective of the program: The strategic objective of the programme is to increase the uptake, coverage, and impact of social protection programs through innovative technologies. The programme intends to contribute to the GOB’s National Social Protection Policies and strategies aimed at improving life, health, and attainment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): goal-2- achieving zero hunger. The purpose of the program is to increase food security, reduced malnutrition and improvement of well-being of women and children.

Major Activities: Staff arrangement and deployment; orientation to all project staff (induction meeting); Regular follow-up support to the beneficiaries; Conduction of Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) sessions and message dissemination; Distribution of posters and leaflets; House-to-house visit; Disseminating nutritional message; Regular communication with shop keepers; Monthly meeting with shop owners; MOU/agreement sign with shops and traders; Monitor market price; BKash troubleshooting support; Update beneficiary database; communication with local leaders; Stakeholder Coordination meeting; Monitor the regular project activities. Development of project brochure, and case study; Organize learning sharing workshop with stakeholders & community; and Organize monthly staff coordination meeting,
