Making Markets Work for the Chars (M4C) Phase-III

 

Duration: September 01, 2020 to March 31, 2024

 

Objective : The primary objective of the agreement/ assignment is to engage NDP as implementing partner of M4C with responsibilities to assist the project team to design, implement and monitor/ measure results of interventions that would help M4C to achieve its log frame targets and systemic change objectives. The secondary objective is to build capacity of the organizations and staffs to implement projects in similar settings in future. The scope of the assignment will be in Jamalpur district and selected (Raumari and Rajibpur) upazillas of Kurigram to implement intervention areas as outlined in the project documents for M4C’s phase-III from the period Sep 2020 to Mar 2024. Expansion to new locations and selection of new sectors/ interventions/ activities will be subjected to review and approval by M4C.

 

Major activities : Market Promotion on Country Chicken/ poultry rearing, Market promotion on Goat rearing, Entrepreneurship Development, Exposure visit for the farmers and interested entrepreneur, Promote Traders out growers’ scheme on Crops, Promote Traders out growers’ scheme on bull fattening, Financial Linkage with output Market actor etc.

 

Implementation process: Develop service provider and use facilitation method.Ensures char farmers, market actors, service providers and other private and public stakeholders to jointly analyze market system, design and implement activities as necessary for production enhancement through fee-based technical supports and cooperative marketing system.

 

Matching of SDG :  SDG-1 : End poverty in all its forms everywhere and SDG-2 : End hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
