A delegation of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Palli Karma-sahayak Foundation (PKSF) visited the activities of the National Development Program (NDP), one of the voluntary development organizations of the country. The delegation visited the activities of the Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project implemented by the NDP. Funded by IFAD and supported by PKSF, the project has been working with 24,000 cattle rearing farmers and 1,000 local service providers and associated organizations in six upazilas in Pabna and Sirajganj districts.
Following this, on October 31 (Monday), the delegation visited the project activities. Executive Director of the NDP. In the presence of Md. Alauddin Khan, Mission Team Leader of IFAD, Md. Dewan Alamgir, Country Director of IFAD – Mr. Arnaud Himelier, Agriculture and Value Chain Specialist Mr. Jens Christensen, M&E Specialist Dr. Shafiqul Islam along with Program Officer Meryl Zimmerman and Miss Farhana Urmi were present. Also present were the Senior General Manager (Programme) and Project Coordinator (RMTP) of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Akand Md. Rafiqul Islam, Manager Md. Majnu Sarkar, NDP Director (Programme) and Focal Person of RMTP Md. Shah Azad Iqbal, Project Manager Md. Nazrul Islam, and other officials.
