Promote Safe Beef and Goat meat brand in Bangladesh :

Duration: January 01, 2022, to November 30, 2025.

Objectives: The main objectives of the project are i) to focus on safe Beef & Goat production and meet brand development in the market system of Bangladesh. The Cooperative members will be generating Beef & Goat rearing; ii) to bring an estimated 70% of the families beneficiaries under beef value chain, and iii) to bring the rest 30% to the goat value chain with physical input support in form of loans from the partner organization.

Major Activities : (a) Training on leadership development, business, capacity building & financial management of Cooperative of a number of 175; (b) Number of 50 meetings with local traders, stockholders, Medicine Company, feed company & govt. dept etc.; (c) Number of 1000 genetic disease and vaccination campaigns; (d) Develop a number of 550 entrepreneurs; (e) Develop 100 Goat breeding farms; (f) Initiate Artificial Insemination (AI) for breed improvement; and (g) Development of market system.

Project implementation process: Development of cooperatives and farmers’ capacity, private sectors engagement and value chain development; input support and product development; and HUB centers and market development.

Matching of SDG: SDG-1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere. SDG-2: End hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
