Shock Responsive Social Protection (SRSP)
Duration: January 01, 2024 to December 31, 2024
Objective: To improve food security of the chronically flood-affected households in riverine communities in the northwest districts through Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Shock Responsive Social Protection (SRSP) approach for building resilience.
Major Activities: (i) The DMCs orientation on Anticipatory Actions (AAs) of WFP and the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh; (ii) Disseminate Early Warning last-mile message at the community level ; (iii) Ensure distribution of entitlement of cash / non-cash support/interventions of anticipatory actions to the selected vulnerable households ; (iv) Establishing sustainable market linkage and an aggregation center for selling and demonstrating Agri and Non-Agri products and information sharing in the community ; (v) Establish local level coordination to verify and update the EGPP and MCBP related beneficiary information; and (vi) 27 Organise awareness meetings by CP with the EGPP and MCBP beneficiaries about the top up support along with their regular SafetyNet support.
