Resilience through Empowerment, Climate Adaptation Leadership and Learning (RE-CALL) Phase-II
Duration : July 01, 2021 to June 30, 2022
Objectives : a. To promote the insurance as a risk transfer mechanism for the vulnerable community; b. To ensure the income security of the farmers by introducing sustainable forms of crop insurance; c. To cover the risk of the regionalized community by insurance breaking the stereotypic practice of insurance.
Major activities: Farmer’s training, Capacity development for staff and Local Administration, Mobile money transfer, Promotion of insurance schemes (including social media), and Program management.
Implementation process: The development of the insurance product will be community-based. The project implication will follow participatory planning and community-based execution. National policies and legislation will guide the project implementation. The climate change predation and the loss and damage analysis are the keys to develop the insurance product.
