• UMML, Urban Management of Internal Migration due to Climate Change (UMCC) Cattle Fattening in the selected slums of Sirajganj Paurashava

Duration: October 01, 2018 to June 30, 2022.

Objectives: a. To increase income and assets of vulnerable households specially women in the selected slums of Sirajganj Paurashava  b. To demonstrate resilient livelihoods options to the people living in the slum areas, and c. To empower women through involving them in Income Generation Activities.

Major Activities : Selection of vulnerable slums and beneficiaries, formation of beneficiaries group, module development for cow fattening/rearing, developing value chain, provide cattle rearing different support lie vaccination, deworming, cow shed, training etc.

Implementation process: The project will be implemented directly to the beneficiaries with the cooperation of the line departments of Government of Bangladesh, especially dept. of Social Services and Livestock. Regular meetings will be held with them and be informed about the project progress and be taken technical support from them.

Matching of SDG: SDG-1 : End poverty in all its forms everywhere and SDG-2 : End hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
